Sophie Huang
President and Founder
Founding SEEDS
Inspired by her younger sister, who is a part of the special needs community, Sophie Huang founded SEEDS in October of 2021, based in Montgomery County.
A first-hand witness to many inequities individuals with disabilities and their families face, Sophie established SEEDS to increase accessible and inclusive opportunities available in the community for them that can accommodate a variety of symptoms and needs.
Now, SEEDS has branched out to found two more independent chapters in Howard County and Baltimore County, Maryland.
Sophie is currently a junior at Richard Montgomery High School, balancing her pursuit towards a future career in neurology with her love for wushu and music.
Katherine Xue
VP of Design
Katherine is a junior at Richard Montgomery High School, and she’s excited to continue working with SEEDS to support communities with special needs and disabilities! Outside of SEEDS, she’s a debater, oil painter, and planner enthusiast.
Doris Wang
VP of Operations
Doris is a junior at Montgomery Blair High School. In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, and watching old movies. She loves the community at SEEDS and hopes to see the students thrive!
Daphne Wen

Daphne is a junior at Montgomery Blair High School and loves working with all the students and their families at SEEDS. Outside of SEEDS, she plays violin, swims, and loves to bake desserts to share.

Emily Liu

Emily is a junior at Richard Montgomery High School, and she is excited to spread the impact of SEEDS! She is also an Director of Dance and has been dancing pre-professionally for 12 years. In her free time, she loves to travel with her friends, take naps, and tell jokes.

Hello! I’m Alvin Wang, a Junior at Thomas Wootton High School. I joined SEEDS to help those in need and to create a healthy and positive community for everyone. Outside of SEEDS, I enjoy sewing, reading, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Hi! I’m Tony and a junior at Montgomery Blair High School. I’ve been playing club volleyball since 7th grade. I’m also a captain of the Blair Boys Volleyball team, where we have been third in the county for the last two years. I also enjoy biology and computer science. Marilyn Huang is a graphics design committee member. She is a 10th grader at Wootton High School and has a passion for cello and music composition but hates programming. She teaches art to kids with special needs, to help them connect to the world in creative, colorful ways.
