We are extremely grateful to have had many wonderful opportunities to present ourselves in the community and work with other community organizations. Our accomplishments are highlighted here as both demonstrations of our hard work and motivation to continue with passion.
Maryland General Assembly
2/15/25: MD Gen. Assembly Citation Recipients
SEEDS received an official citation from the Maryland General Assembly for our community service achievements and our 2025 Lunar New Year celebration. A special thank you to Delegate Lily Qi for this honor!
CAPA National Youth Innovation & Leadership Showcase
11/30/24: Gold Award Recipients!
At the National CAPA Showcase, SEEDS-MC won the Gold Award in Community Service. Shoutout to all our volunteers who helped out with the event, as well as our presenters Sophie, Katherine, and Daphne!
Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA)
10/30/24: Partnership with MD DDA
SEEDS-MC recently established a partnership with Maryland DDA. We gained access to $24,300 in grant funding, which go toward the development of bilingual Chinese-English app introducing DDA resources, cultural broker trainings, and the SEEDS Documentary production!
United Chinese Americans Community Fund & National Convention
6/28/24: Community Fund Grantees
From the UCA Community Fund, SEEDS-MC acquired $1,083 in grant funding. We also received a Certificate of Recognition from the 2024 National Youth Festival!
Montgomery County Board of Education
5/7/24: Distinguished Service to Public Education Award Recipients
Fun fact: SEEDS-MC was the only student-led organization to win this award this year!
