Accessible Weekly Meetings

At SEEDS HC, we believe that consistent and long-term interactions foster unforgettable relationships. In our pursuit to build these relationships, we host weekly meetings every Friday from 7-9 PM at Veterans Elementary School to provide regular support. Our meeting activities vary but include items such as arts & crafts, games, robotic demonstrations, holiday celebrations, and much more.

Our schedule of weekly activities and events can be found in the Google Calendar below on this page. Join us at any event!

SEEDS often hosts collaborative community events to provide children with unique excursions. We collaborate with other community organizations as well, including Readability and the Autism Society of Maryland.

Some of these events include swimming lessons, bingo nights, picnic potlucks, and storytime sessions.

We believe in a multi-faceted approach to working with children with disabilities. Although most of the children at SEEDS HC work with volunteers on a rotating basis, we have found that some children better thrive working with the same volunteer week after week, creating an interpersonal connection.

The Buddies Program aims to bridge this gap for children who work better with consistent relationship-building, resulting in a bloom of trust and support.

The SEEDS Tennis Program gives children an opportunity to explore and love physical activity. Held weekly on Sundays, SEEDS children work with patient and trained youth volunteers to improve in tennis. With time and persistence, SEEDS children build internal perseverance, explore a new hobby, and build connections with other children and volunteers.

The Tennis Program schedule and location can be found on the calendar later in this page.
